Welcome to Clariset

As a full-time college student studying clarinet, something I turn to- like almost everyone- is Google. When I have trouble getting a concept, mastering a technique, or figuring out the phrasing of a specific musical line, I whip out my smartphone and google endlessly. The problem is, the issues I sometimes have are not ones talked about very often online. I created this blog to solve that for other people. Hopefully, my pain will be your gain.       Found here will be notes on different techniques such as embouchure, tongue position, voicing, articulation, breathing, and others. There will be commentary on many different aspects of being a musician today, with information on entrepreneurship, gigging, and auditions. There will be practice tips, notes on music theory and its role with interpretation, really anything I decide to write about that day. I hope you enjoy this blog, and be sure to give me feedback on topics you'd like to see addressed here by me and my colleagues
